Independent Medical Equipment Research Fund

The Independent Medical Equipment Research Fund is one of the leading institutions in the development of modern technologies in the field of healthcare and medical equipment in Iran. The Fund was established with the aim of supporting research, advancing technology, and commercializing products in this sector, serving as a bridge between universities, research centers, and industry.

Founded in 2012 (1391 in the Iranian calendar), the Fund was created through the participation of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (۲۰%), Ministry of Health and Medical Education (۲۰%), and 17 private shareholders from among the most reputable companies in biomedical engineering and healthcare. It was established under the approval of the coordination working group of Article 100 of the Third Development Plan.
